Fundraising can be a daunting task, but North Coast Anchorage’s Tour de Cure team still managed to raise $4,000! - A quarter of that was done by Kat Haslett alone! GREAT JOB KAT!!! This was the first time Anchorage participated in the Tour de Cure for the American Diabetes Association, and we did extremely well. We had cyclists and walkers! Miguel and Jud rode on the 26 mile route and both finished despite struggling to follow the trail markings! Kat, Jenn, and Brandon W rode on the 13 mile route and all finished strong, again despite the trail markings! (Did someone steal signs to make it longer?)

Lesli, Mike Gibson, Mark, Matt, Rebecca, and her husband Nick all did the 3 ½ mile saunter around downtown and the coastal trail (Have you seen the beautiful houses down there?! )

Why we fundraise for the American Diabetes Association - the money that is raised for the American Diabetes Association is to help cure pre-diabetics & Type 2 diabetics, and to improve the lives of all those affected by diabetes. Although Type 1 is not curable, ADA does research findings impacting care and the autoimmune conditions that cause diabetes.
